On Sep 25, 2015, from 12 am to 11 pm, hashtag #AlDubEBforLOVE was tweeted a record breaking 25.6 million times. This was achieved because of the hype surrounding the forbidden love story between two characters from the Philippine television show Eat Bulaga!

AlDub is the mashed up name of Alden “Aldin” Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza, a power couple whose onscreen romance has been budding slowly. The characters communicate through a split screen, mostly by dubbing audio samples of popular songs, as well as through handwritten notes. And on Sep 25, Alden made his first visit to Yaya Dub’s house. This brought the fans of the show — AlDub Nation — to join together and send an epic burst of#AlDubEBforLOVE tweets.
