The City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines organised the largest lantern parade with 14,173 people. On 19 September 2017, participants carried hand-made lanterns made from recycled soda and beer cans. The parade went on despite of the rain.

The crocodile was named Lolong and housed in a custom-built enclosure at Bunawan Eco-Park and Research Centre, Philippines.
